Surprise!

This past Saturday family and friends gathered for a surprise party, celebrating Matt's upcoming 30th birthday. I am proud to say that with the help of many friends and family members, the surprise was pulled off and Matt was truly shocked! The following video shows what happened right after the moment of SURPRISE!

If you notice, Matt is carrying a cake in his hands when he walks in the room... yup, he was carrying (one of his) his very own Birthday cake(s) and didn't even know it! The party had plenty of games to keep everyone occupied. You can catch a glimpse of "Mic Matt Moe" (a personalized version of Tic Tac Toe) and "Pin the Gray Hair on Matt" in the background of the video. Don't you love Matt's reaction when he finally sees his large, balding head plastered on the wall?! The kids enjoyed playing Corn Hole (thanks Chris & Nikki) and several adults were getting rather involved with the picture puzzles!

The room was adorned with as much Carolina Blue as I could find. Glittery spirals with the number 30 hung delicately from the ceiling, to remind Matt of his ever closer 30th birthday! I have to say, a few table cloths, balloons, glitter and party decorations really turns our Fellowship Hall into quite the entertaining room!

Count 'em... one, two, THREE BIRTHDAY CAKES! I guess that's how many it takes when you get to be 30! One cake for every decade of your life. All three were wonderful! Thanks, Marc and Lauren for supplying the cakes! Chocolate Cheesecake, Cake Batter Confetti, and Lemon ice cream from Yum Yum, adorned with...

...OPTIMUS PRIME!

I can't say thank you enough to everyone who helped make this party a success! I could not have pulled off this event without your help! Thank you to everyone for coming and making this party a night that Matt will never forget! Everyone has a very special place in our lives! We consider ourselves blessed to know you!
