Eight months old. Wow. Matt and I can't believe that Ava has already been with us for 2/3 of a year. She continues to amaze, surprise and bless us each and every day.
Here is her latest shot with the bear. Although this photo doesn't show Ava's typical goofy grin, it does show how long she is. I can't believe that in her one month photo with the bear, the bear was longer than her!

A couple of weeks ago, Ava and I had the privilege of watching our friend, Finn, while his mom escaped for an afternoon haircut. Finn made our afternoon quite easy by sleeping almost the entire time. What a cutie.
When Finn woke up, I quickly discovered that he was a fan of Ava's bouncy chair. Ava didn't seem to notice that someone other than her was sitting in the chair, mesmerized by the lights and sounds.
Ava was happy to share her toys with Finny-Finnster. Even though her face in the following picture tells a different story.
**Funny Finn/Fergie story... After Lauren dropped Finn off at our house, Fergie of course wanted to meet the new little visitor. Fergie sniffed Finn, sniffed Finn's car seat and immediately booked it out the dog door and into the back yard. I think that was her way of saying, "Are you kidding me? Another one of these things? My life is over!"**
