Christmas Eve Eve

Christmas Eve Eve was spent with Matt's mom's side of the family. We had a wonderful evening, packed FULL of laughter, dinner, gifts and great memories. I was so busy enjoying the evening, that I managed to only take a handful of pictures... Here is a quick recap of the night:

Ava has the best cousins. Ever. She loves spending time with them.

After dinner, we all listened to Anna read us the Christmas story out of the Bible (Luke 2:1-20).

Then, wrapping paper, tissue paper, ribbons and bows starting flying as the kids tore into the Christmas presents.

Before Ava begins to tear into a present, she asks who it is from, and then says, "thank you." THEN, she opens the gift and typically says one of the following: Ooooh. Nice. Pretty. Awesome. Cute. What 2 year old precedes gift-opening with manners? My 2 year old, that's who! Ava also made sure to hug everyone in appreciation of all her fun new toys and clothes!

She's 2 and already, Ava tech savvy. Give her a cell phone, laptop, iPad... And she'll have it figured out in no time at all. Tonight, Aunt Lisa's video camera was Ava's gadget of choice. Thanks Lisa, for entertaining Ava and letting her play with your camera.

There is no better time than family time. Merry early Christmas!
